Muse is organising a round table where crucial questions of biology innovation will be discussed. Will, at mid-term, DNA manipulation, by using pioneering, powerful and versatile techniques (e.g. genome editing) be a powerful solution to solve crucial problems for the humanity, such as fighting incurable illnesses and responding to world food demand? Will research and industry, in their practices, develop a more responsible attitude to care about people’s values and answer to concerns of citizens and stakeholders? Which bio-economy will this technology develop to be a potential benefit of young people? This round table aims at analysing results, perspectives and visions about achievements and promises of DNA manipulation, by giving voice to young researchers, DIY BIO communities, experts in science communication and in bio-law.
