20 years VIB, something to celebrate. That is why we will organise a 5-month VIB biotech tour instead of the VIB biotech day.
The biotech tour is a VIB exhibition that will be held in each of the cities where we have a partner university. In addition, we will organise a complementary evening activity in each city. It’s our pleasure to invite you to Brussels, Antwerp, Hasselt, Ghent or Leuven to find out about the VIB researchers’ enthusiasm, how their findings lead to new medicines and a more sustainable agriculture, about the number of jobs created in VIB startups over the past 20 years, as well as the outstanding worldwide standard of Flanders’ biotech activities.
We will talk a little bit about DNA and proteins and elaborate even more on brain and cancer research, chocolate and beer, gut flora, the research on solutions for asthma and auto immune diseases, sustainable agriculture, biofuels, …
On October 5th 2016, we’re going to celebrate the 20 years of the VIB at BOZAR (Brussels) and simultaneously launch the VIB biotech tour. On October 10th our biotech lady will host the VIB exhibition in Antwerp. After a 4 week stay she will head to Hasselt where the exhibition will be kicked off on November 4th. From November 5th the exhibition will set foot in Ghent and from January 14th 2016 you can check it out in Leuven. The final exhibition town is Brussels.
