The training course was attended  by 83 school children (17 – 18 years old) from 8 Lithuanian secondary schools. They spent two days in the Life Sciences Center (LSC) of Vilnius University. On the first day each of them conducted experiment in the research laboratories supervised by young scientists.  During the second day they took a tour of the center, visited different research laboratories and attended two scientific lectures: “DNA sequencing – achievements and prospects” and  “What it is possible to say about a protein from its amino acids sequence”. Information about the study programs at the Life Sciences Center was presented before closing the training course. It was a great experience for children who consider to connect their lives with science.
