The 8th edition of the Rendez-Vous de Concarneau successfully gathered around 70 participants from 8 countries. The first session of the meeting focused on international cooperation, a prerequisite of success in all high-tech indus- tries, while the second session zoomed in on bioremediation, the conversion of waste into valuable products by (micro)or- ganisms. Integrated multi trophic aquacul- ture, biomass production, technology transfer and intellectual property in marine biology were also part of the discussions.
