The joint conference was organized by Asia-Pacific Association of Science, Engineering and Technology (APASET) and in collaboration with Chinese Journal of Biologicals, Offenburg University of Applied Sciences and University of Catania.
There were 80 delegates from 30 countries that attended the conference, several experts in related fields were invited to give keynote and invited speeches. The in-depth discussions among the attendees effectively advanced the academic exchange.
The opening ceremony was graced by Conference Honorary Chair, Prof. Dr. Winfried Lieber, rector of Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, who delivered warm welcome remarks to all the attendees. Prof. Dr. Bruno Ismer, Conference Chair & Head of Peter Osypka Institute for Pacing and Ablation at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, praised the growth of ICBB and welcomed all delegates to the international event.
Prof. Alexander M. Kulminski from Duke University, Prof. Choi Seong Soo from Sungkyunkwan University, Prof. Dr. Jürgen Rühe from University of Freiburg, Prof. Dr. Tatsuo Omata from Nagoya University, Prof. João Lúcio from University of SãoPaulo, Prof. Jiri Jan from Brno University of Technology delivered the plenary and invited speech at the conference.
The conference lasted for 2 days, and set various sessions, including 31 invited & oral presentations and 45 poster presentations. Biotechnology, bioengineering, biomedicine & biomedical engineering and other related aspects were involved. This year ICBB is also part of European Biotech Week event.
ICBB is an academic conference since 2012, and had been held successfully in China Mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand. The 2018 conference is under preparation and we welcome scholars and researchers to participate our future events.
