Consistent with its mission, the Biogem Foundation organized a series of scientific dissemination events during the year. The main event is the meeting “The Two Cultures” in September. The meeting includes scientific conferences, literary and artistic events inspired by the logic of dialogue between humanists and scientists around “fundamental” subjects. Every year, internationally renowned speakers take part in the meeting. The 2018 edition hosted the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, at the opening session. The XI edition, entitled “Sapiens…and beyond” will take place from the 4th to the 8th of September, addressing the impact that contemporary science and technology have on human identity and relations. Among the distinguished Italian and foreign guests we outline in particular the presence of the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2001, prof. Timothy Hunt.
