What is bioeconomy and what is the contribution of Deutsche Biomasseforschungszentrum (DBFZ) in Leipzig?

The transition of the economy based on fossil resources into the future bio-based economy represents a challenge for society and for research. DBFZ is one of the leading institutes in Germany which implements application-oriented research and development projects to tackle this challenge.

We invite you to take a look behind the term “bioeconomy” and make it tangible with the research carried out at the institute. In addition to an inspection of laboratories and the research biogas plant, the participants will have the opportunity to talk with employees and doctoral students about their work at the institute. The objective of the event is to exemplify the diversity of the topic and to stimulate the introduction of own ideas into the research of future.
