This edition has shown that BIOSPAIN is an event that not only consolidates figures but also increases them compared to previous years. In fact, in this ninth edition, there were 3,330 partnering meetings or business meetings, which shows an 11% increase with respect to the previous edition. In addition, the number of investors attending the congress increased to 54, which shows that more and more professionals are interested in seeking investment opportunities in our country.
On the other hand, in terms of attendance there were 1,550 delegates, 773 companies, of which 26% were international (from 30 countries), and 200 exhibitors. In the attendee survey, which is carried out after the event, 84% of respond-ents answered that they identified real business opportunities. The event was rated as good or very good by 92.3% of attendees.

This report describes a total of 20 success cases of the Biotechnology Sector in Spain in the last 10 years. These success stories have been carefully selected by a cross-sectorial jury representing the main stake holders involved in the Spanish Biotech sector. The selection process has intentionally included success cases from the main three application areas of biotechnology: namely red (healthcare), green (agriculture and food industry) and white biotechnology (industrial uses).
This selection of 20 cases will help all of you, specially those who are foreigners and wish to gain insight into what is going on in the Spanish biotech industry, some insight into the opportunities Spain can offer to international investors and industrial partners looking for collaborations.
