Non-invasive prenatal diagnosis is essential in the early identification of genetic diseases. It is based on the analysis of fetal free DNA circulating in the maternal blood to assess the risk that the fetus is affected by DNA mutations responsible for genetic diseases such as beta-thalassemia. From this point of view, a diagnosis as early as possible is essential, which we are trying to achieve with advanced and sensitive biotechnological technologies. Speaker: Elisabetta D’Aversa.
