Representatives from eleven UK biotech companies and the Right Honourable Sir Jim Paice, MP for South East Cambridgeshire took place in a roundtable discussion at Cambridge Science Park.
The lively discussion covered topics such as the UK government’s support for innovation and Cambridge’s position as a life science hub. Guests emphasised to Sir Jim that market access and appropriate reimbursement are crucial factors for the development of new medical solutions, and also suggested some pragmatic policy ideas the government could explore such as enabling the investment of pension funds into innovative sectors.
