Genome Editing – The new frontier in biotech innovation (Brussels)

Addressing patient’s unmet medical needs, tackling climate change and depletion of natural resources, developing beneficial and resistant crops and plants – these are just some of the challenges that cutting-edge biotech will help to tackle on the road to 2030.

But how can we ensure an inclusive dialogue around research ethics in this area, what stands in the path of world leading EU scientific breakthrough, and how can we foster a biotech ecosystem that prioritises people and planet?

These are just some of the questions that we’ll seek to address during European Biotech Week, at this lunch hosted by MEP Henna Virkkunen, on the 25th September (12.00 – 15.00) in the European Parliament.
