Lab Tests and experiments to explore and reflect on modern genetic frontiers.
Primary school students will be engaged into an evolution game based upon genetic transmission and natural selection mechanisms. Children will also get the chance to simulate how physical traits of a population appear, select and trasmit within generations. Only the best fitting individuals could transmit genetic traits to future offspring. In the evolution game it’s not the strongest to survive, but the most adapted.
The event is a preview of the exhibition “IMPREVEDIBILE, essere pronti per il future senza sapere come sarà” that will be inaugurated in October at Opificio Golinelli.
Secondary school students will meet scientists working on genetic engineering techniques.
On September 25th an environmental education path and the contest of ideas #GREENFORALL will be launched. Ten school from Bologna and Modena will participate. The activities are promoted by the European project “Life Biorest” funded by the LIFE Program with the aim of informing and educating on the role played by Green Biotechnologies in the protection of the environment and the sustainable use of resources.
