Key enabling technology for the Italian bioeconomy (Bologna)

Industrial biotechnology is the basis of development of the bioeconomy. The event in Bologna presented four cases of Italian white biotech companies engaged in the research and development of new bio-based products. With them were representatives from farmers’ associations for a broader discussion involving the whole bioeconomy value chain in the region of Emilia Romagna, set to play a leading role in the Italian bioeconomy.
