On the 24th of September during the lecture “Industrial biotechnology” for Microbiology and Biotechnology students at Vilnius University Life Sciences Center, students were given information about the European Biotechnology Week, where and what types of events were being held, as well as their importance. Students were also instructed on industrially important acid (acetic, citric, glyconic, lactic, ascorbic, itaconic, fumaric) fermentation using different microorganisms, gene and metabolic engineering methods. 30 students participated in the lecture.
