NMR for biobanks: from development of standards to quality control, generation of high-value metadata and support to epidemiological studies and clinical trials (Florence)

To strengthen the relationships between the metabolomic community and that of the biobanks outlining the possibilities for a future common growth. Samples stored at biobanks are an invaluable source of information for metabolomics, but unsuitable pre-analytic procedures may have detrimental effects on accuracy, robustness and reproducibility of the analyses. On the other hand, metabolomics can be a sensitive tool for evaluating the quality of samples in biobanks.
