The traveling laboratory, called “Mobile Bioclass”, is designed to promote biosciences among school children and inspire them to pursue career in sciences. A specially arranged bus carrying laboratory equipment and a team of 8 young researchers and students arrives to the school for a full day, 24 work places for laboratory exercises are rapidly arranged in one of the schools rooms and experimental work starts. This year, during European Biotech Week 2018, Mobile Bioclass will visit Linkuvos Gymnasium (https://www.linkuvosgimnazija.lt/) on the 28th September (Thursday) and Gymnasium of Šiauliai University (http://www.sugimnazija.lt/) on the 29th September (Friday). The „Mobile Bioclass“ is a joint project of company Thermo Fisher Scientific Baltics and Vilnius University and have already visited 224 schools.
