Vilnius University Life Sciences Center (LSC) is an organizer of scientific activity of Extramural School of Young Biochemists which is hosted at Lithuanian Centre of Non-formal Youth Education.
The two-year school was founded in 1978 and until now more than 1,600 alumni have graduated from this school. The aim of the studies is to expand pupils knowledge of biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, health sciences.
An introductory session of new school year will be held on 27 of September, 2019. Target audience is 10-11 grade children. During the introductory session, the schoolchildren will be introduced to the school program, an excursion at the LSC will be organized, and the children will listen to the lectures on the significance of DNA and proteins.
