In 2030 it is estimated that 80% of new drugs will be derived from biotech.
How are Universities preparing to take up this challenge? How can we promote and enhance technology transfer between universities and biotech companies? A symposium, held at the University of Milan, compared the views and experiences of representatives from the world of research, academia and biotech companies in the pharmaceutical field. Two case studies were presented: Telethon – GSK and Telethon – Shire.
