The World Agri-Tech Investment Summit was held in London during European Biotech Week. With a specific focus on agricultural biotechnology and software-driven precision farming, the summit brought together global leaders in resource-efficient agriculture with the world’s most innovative technology developers and the international clean tech investment community.

The inaugural summit addressed the growing importance of advanced agricultural technologies in meeting global food demand, and the opportunities this presents for the investment community to engage with and support the development of agricultural innovation. Highlights of this year’s agenda included Vipula Shukla, Senior Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation discussing the growing importance of technology in meeting global food demand and Lord Rupert de Mauley, Parliamentary Undersecretary at DEFRA, who presented what the new UK Agri-Tech Strategy means for investors.
