Agro-Industrial Biotechnology at La Sapienza: 25 years of teaching and research for sustainability in the agronomic and industrial fields

The degree course in Agro-Industrial Biotechnology has been present in the training offer of the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences of the Sapienza University of Rome for 25 years and has as its objective the training of biotechnologists with solid scientific knowledge, but also the acquisition of the concepts of economic, environmental and social sustainability.

The results obtained in these 25 years of the degree course and the new paths dedicated to training the biotechnologists of the future and to identify useful solutions to achieve the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development will be presented.
