Debate about GMOs usually revolves around pesticides, corn or soybean, patenting and, of course, multinationals. Most of the discussion is actually about events in plant and animal breeding that happened more than two decades ago, as if none of the more recent achievements existed. This book is an attempt to provide a brief but thorough insight into GMOs from the perspective of scientists.

On Tuesday 26 September in the afternoon the author Borut Bohanec, Chair of the Department of Agronomy and Head of the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology at the Biotechnical faculty of the University of Ljubljana, made himself available to sign free copies of his book, “Yes To GMOs!” in the European Parliament, Brussels.
